The Framework: Four Questions

1. Is There a Real Problem?

Before considering AI, clarify the problem:

What specific outcome do you want to improve?
How do you measure success?
Is this a real priority for the business?

If unclear: Stop. Define the problem first.

2. Is AI the Right Solution?

Not every problem needs AI:

Would simpler solutions work?
Is the problem suited to AI strengths?
Is AI solving a symptom or root cause?

If alternatives exist: Consider them seriously.

3. Are You Ready?

Success requires preparation:

Do you have the necessary data?
Is the organization prepared to adopt?
Do you have resources for implementation?

If not ready: Address gaps before proceeding.

4. Is the Investment Justified?

Does the business case make sense?

What are realistic costs (all-in)?
What are realistic benefits?
What are the risks if it fails?
Are there better uses for these resources?

If unclear or negative: Reconsider or wait.
